Day 3. Cape du Couedic – Remarkable Rocks – Sanderson Bay. 13 kms. 33°C. (Peter Thomas)
Another 7 a.m. start saw us meandering through some beautiful, tall and dense coastal mallee before reaching the Remarkable Rocks car park. Kylie & I explored Admirals Arch and the Remarkable Rocks on Sunday so we kept going following the clifftops to Sanderson Bay and the Banksia Campground by 10.30 a.m. We set up camp, had some lunch then headed for Sanderson Beach for the afternoon. We had a very relaxing time in the water and lying in the shade of a small cliff. Kylie and I are the only people staying overnight on the trail so we had our choices of campsites and were able to spread out. Only one other couple were walking it at the same time but they got dropped off and then picked up at the end of the day.
